@mdlfkdsmk I am not sure what you mean by import a .json file instead of a list of countries. Do you mean instead of using the package countries list to be able to provide your one list of countries by json file?

Yes, that's what I meant.
I'm trying to re-use this to get the Uni names & cities only (instead of phone numbers indicators & Countries) from this .json list: https://www.data.gouv.fr/fr/datasets/principaux-etablissements-d-enseignement-superieur-mesr/

I don't thing this is possible to import any .json, package has to parse json in order to use display the info. It is not possible to parse any json with any structure. And it's not a functionality that many will want.
Feel free to fork the repository and change the code to suit your needs and if you have any questions please feel free to ask.
