ICS UI about subsonic HOT 4 CLOSED

I've been working on an updated UI that's starting to look pretty nice. It has ActionBar support (native for ICS+), and uses a sliding drawer for navigation. If you want to look it over, checkout the ui_update branch in my forked repo...

Interesting, I almost like it, but does the library you are using support swiping between tabs? As it is I don't really like how all the extras from the menu are just being dumped into the icon selection menu.

It's still very much a work in progress, and I'm open to input on the design. I'm undecided on the drawer (is that's what you meant by 'icon selection menu'?).

I initially started with the drawer pattern because I liked the idea of being able to access all the top-level navigation options from anywhere in the app. I plan on removing the 'Now playing' option in the drawer and instead displaying album art, artist, title and controls in a split ActionBar (at the bottom of the screen) only when there is a current song in the DownloadService.

Tabs were my other thought for top level navigation. I believe ActionBarSherlock does support tabs, and implementing swiping between them should be fairly simple. I'll see about putting together an alternate, tab based, UI in another branch...

I've started my own alternative ICS UI branch which is using ActionBarSherlock exclusively. I really just don't like the drawer very much. I generally prefer tabs. I've seen apps that do it right, but it just doesn't seem to fit in this context very well.
