Segmentation faul core dumped in virtual box running linux mint. about mosaic HOT 6 CLOSED

HI, could be maybe some issue with running opengl applications inside a virtual machine?

In some cases, with some version of virtualbox running on some os (a lot of combinations there) trying to run opengl based applications cause segfault.

Try to compile and run an OF example, just to test that, the examples/computer_vision/opencvExample is a good one for testing this issue.

If this example run inside your virtual machine, than the Mosaic problem is elsewhere and we'll investigate the issue

I've just changed something that was not working well on linux, just make a pull of the Mosaic repo:
cd OF_folder/apps/d3cod3/Mosaic
git pull

And re-compile, let me know if is working now

Hi, I am trying to recompile in linux mint , but its taking a lot of time,
I happend to get it up and running on debian system MXlinux inside virtual box but the input/output options are greyed out and few examples completle crashes mosaic. I made a screen shot

Ok, i'm glad you finally have it running!

The project is actually in alpha stage, so, a lot of stuff is not developed yet, and is completely normal to have unstable behavior.

That said, i expect to reach beta stage at the end of the year, December probably.

About some objects category empty, it's normal right now, where is empty is because i haven't implemented that specific category objects yet.

About the examples crash, probably the ones crashing are sound related, there is an issue about patch portability between different systems (i made a patch here, someone else open it in its machine) when using the DSP, so for sound related stuff, just build patches from scratch and save them in your disk, those one will reopen without problem.
