Actually, this may not be necessary with #19. If an enter node has a reference to its parent node, then it can alter the behavior of appendChild (and insertBefore) accordingly. In addition, if the enter node knows where it should exist in the DOM (i.e., the immediately following update node), then it can likewise alter the behavior of appendChild to insert before this node rather than at the end of the parent. In effect, enter nodes would then become true placeholders in the DOM, and we wouldn’t need a special EnterSelection class.
