Hey Stephan,
The two cases I know of that can trigger an UNKNOWN state are:
- If the config for the adjacency has been deleted
- With the Juniper routers I've tested, when an adjacency transitions to 'down', the OID is deleted, thus 'down' state never exists, so (unfortunately) it will be in an UNKNOWN state.
