Cryptomator shows update available to unsupported version about cryptomator HOT 3 CLOSED

In my opinion it should be the way it is: If your OS is outdated, Cryptomator should still inform you about updates of Cryptomator, especially because they contain security fixes and bug fixes. It would be more than irresponsible to claim that Cryptomator is up to date just because the OS is outdated.

Furthermore, we can't change this: The update checker of 1.11.1 works the way it does. We would need to publish 1.11.2 to change the behavior, however 1.11.1 could not tell you about 1.11.2, because it only knows how to handle the update information as it is today, still pointing towards the latest version.

I've not suggested that Cryptomator should claim that it's up to date when it's not. The fix in #3341 will ensure that users in this situation, following the upgrade prompt, will be advised that the OS is not supported. Other than that I agree with the comments. For now I'll continue with 1.11.1 and reassess as new fixes come out.
