[Question] - How do I validate a Bitcoin address with BitcoinLib? about bitcoinlib HOT 2 CLOSED

With BitcoinLib this is as simple as:

IBitcoinService _bitcoinService = new BitcoinService();
Boolean isValid = (_bitcoinService.ValidateAddress("btcAddressInQuestion")).IsValid;

Performing the validation via the daemon is the only way we can be confident that all the latest validation specifications have been included, e.g. any custom code used for address validation purposes must be now adjusted to include latest updates from BIP 13 in other case it will eventually start rejecting valid addresses. On top of that, it really costs nothing as it runs locally and no other information is being propagated to the network.
