@hrishiv, I am creating this issue as a space for us to discuss the zircaloy model. Everything you sent me is stored at inputs/hrishiv/fuel_assembly/ and I've referenced every commit so far here.

The static rigid beam kernels have been added to chris.i, but this does not work since I have not yet developed dynamics. I will make this my next task.

The "dummy" file you sent me runs great:

cd ~/projects
git clone [email protected]:crswong888/scorpion.git
cd scorpion
make -j4
cd inputs/hrishiv/fuel_assembly/
mpiexec -n 4 ../../../scorpion-opt -i chrisdummy.i

the solver completes in approximately 8 minutes on 4 CPUs.
