@TomCrowder I did something that could help. In my case, I needed to send a request to a server each time the user enter or exit a geofence.

This is just an information, you can't run javascript code if app is closed, at least on android.

@ElieSauveterre you should consider using HttpURLConnection instead of Apache HTTP client as it has been removed in Android 6. See http://developer.android.com/about/versions/marshmallow/android-6.0-changes.html
