Looks like you're trying to connect to Couchbase Server directly. That won't work; Couchbase Server doesn't directly implement the sync protocol. That's what the Couchbase Sync Gateway is for.

Thanks @snej, I understand i'll have to use sync_gateway for this task.
I'm not sure if i should create an issue in sync_gateway; i encounter another problem 401 error in sync_gateway
17:15:50.160957 Auth failed for username="", cookie=
17:15:50.161039 HTTP: --> 401 Invalid login
I have a few more questions
- is it mandatory to login/authenticated?
- besides persona or oauth, can i use custom login method? because i have an app server running that have authentication function.

That error is expected. Guest/anonymous access is disabled by default. You can change that in the config file or by altering the properties of that user account.
You can do custom login by having your app server ask the gateway to create a login session cookie for a user, then returning that cookie to the client. See the section "Indirect Authentication".
