Hey @dave-stevens-net! Thank you for bringing this issue to light. The linkText prop modifies the href value state before human interaction. Normally it reads "obfuscated."

I think I'll update the readme to be more clear about linkText. Maybe it should say, "Add custom pre-interaction href attribute placeholder text."

One last update to the documentation. It states

The component obfuscates href data until an onClick event.

It may be more accurate to say "until a hover event".

Cool! @dave-stevens-net, I changed it to "until a hover, click, or focus event" just for more information to the user on what some of the human interaction events are. Thank you for this suggestion!
