Hmm, weird. Can you provide me with any more information?
First of all, can you list all your network settings on the Arduino?
A wild guess (at least for the router) would be that it filters port 69. tftp is insecure and some routers filter that port.

My error (difference between gateway in my sketch vs written and used by bootloader - found it when getting info to send to you - so thanks!). Bootloader works great with Xboard v2!!! I will be using it extensively!
