Yes, but in this specific case, I regard use frequency as more important, as in cdr being more used than cdddr. I would expect to be autocompleted to cdr rather than cdddr when I type cd....

Hmm, that's a difficult criteria to use - how should I know that you're more likely to use one symbol than another? The only thing I can think of here would be to sort first by length and then alphabetically within symbols of the same length, but I suspect that this would create other unintuitive behaviours in other cases.

Sure. I was suggesting to treat the list accessors as a special case (ca... & cd..., not everything :) Anyhow, this is not big deal for the user, since they are only three characters long.
