Thanks for opening this issue.
There is a configuration parameter you can set (e.g., in cloudinary.yml) for defining the list of folders. It is called statis_image_dirs. Apparently there's a spelling mistake. We will fix it to be static_image_dirs (with a 'c').
The default list is: ["app/assets/images", "public/images"]
We will add the additional directories you suggested to the default list.

The new GEM (v1.0.19) includes the directories you mentioned in the default list. In addition, the override parameter name was fixed to be static_image_dirs.
