I had to step out for a bit, but builds were running in the mean time. --stage-1-only builds fine on this, and the standard build fails with the same issue you saw. I just moved to ToT at llvm/llvm-project@9257071 and --stage-1-only builds fine once more. Will report back once the standard 2 stage build finishes on this.

Can you tell me the commit hash of the llvm-project repo in your tc-build directory? This appears to be a (hopefully temporary) regression in the LLVM tree but I'd like to confirm on a set of my machines as well.

2 stage build works fine on llvm/llvm-project@9257071 so I assume the regression was resolved upstream. @kristofpetho can you confirm on your end and close the issue?

The problematic commit was reverted: llvm/llvm-project@d2b6ac6

I had this same issue and I can confirm that commit resolves it.
