Unfortunately no, enfocus operates on the live dom nodes in the browser and due to the dynamic nature and to limitation in some browsers every item has to be added to the live dom before even selection can occur. We could write a routine that would convert the nodes to dom on the client side but I don't think this would be more efficient than taking the html in through enlives emit functionallity though. I am however working on adding enlive selection to the compiled snippets that would allow enlive to do the initial selection of the snippet and we would including the compiled dom in js file. This would eliminate the need for the server call and provide a compact snippet for the js file.
