Not for the time being.
Querying balance for an address requires scanning realtime for live cells against a local node. In real world that would be quite slow.
That being said, we do have a simple implementation in the Ruby SDK, which could be moved to your own JS fairly easy:

Our proof of concept wallet Neuron also has this as it depends on this JavaScript SDK heavily. You might want to check that out as well: https://github.com/nervosnetwork/neuron
