Uncaught Range Error (Port) about atom-irc HOT 7 CLOSED

@chan9han Are you putting 6665-6670 or 6665, 6670 in the package settings?

If it is the former, it may be evaluating that expressiong which would result in 6665-6670 = -5.

Hi, I am putting in single numbers like 6665 and not a range in the settings. Could this be due to an incompatibility in the net.js source that atom or this package is looking for and the net.js I have installed on my OS? When I trace this error it points me to a console.log in an net.js file but the net.js file I have installed at /usr/lib/nodejs does not even have such a line.

@chan9han I'm not having a particular issue with the port address, however I'm getting some connection problems (namely with NickServ challenge). I'll take a look and see if this can solve both problems.

@chan9han I pushed a new version (due to some bugs I discovered while debugging this issue: 0.2.8).

I never got the port error in the net.js as you described. After the changes I made in 0.2.8, I was able to successfully connect and chat on irc.freenode.

I updated atom to the latest version 0.152.0.

Try the new version and see if it helps.
