Wowmodelviewer doesn't work on mac? about wowmodelviewer HOT 13 CLOSED

WMV currently does not natively work on a Mac. (Not sure about Win Emus on a 
Mac...)
To correct this problem, we need someone to dig in and add the appropriate code 
to
make it work. (I think someone was working on it, but I can't remember.)

I'm in the process of making a Mac-native version of WMV. At the moment however 
I'm
buried in a huge pile of work, so this will take a while.

@sephiroth: i've gotten it started up in VirtualBox, and can get it to see the 
MPQ files in the shared folders. 
however when i "apply settings" the whole program crashes. If anyone would like 
i could post the error report.

@tob.franke: PLEASE! that would be amazing! I can think of a podcast or two 
that would probably give you some 
love if you got one running. I'm sure you're aware of the older WMV for mac, 
but got dropped mid Burning 
Crusade. Makes me sad to see the videos of it running. i'm in the middle of a 
project where i need just the 
seperate avatars and getting pretty frustarated!

Yeah I would really like to see a Model Viewer for the Mac... I have a program 
called CrossOvers but it does not 
seem to run WMV.

I'll post an update as soon as I have a running version for beta testing.

I downloaded the beta and it unexpectedly quit every time I tried to start it 
up.
I know it was uploaded less than a day ago and it needs tweaking. But if you 
could get it to work I would be 
ecstatic because this is exactly what I've been looking forward too.

The current version doesn't come with depending libraries and thus needs some 
extras
installed. The repackaged version will be online next week.

First release, WMV is now running natively. Please post Mac related bugs 
separately.
