Can users install with this approach?

$ pip install mkdocs-cinder

then add the following to their mkdocs.yml file:

theme: cinder

I used cinder as the entry point in the setup.py file. Or do they need to enter the PyPI package name mkdocs-cinder?

Your example is correct, the theme name is based on the entrypoint in the setup.py. I've only briefly looked at the code (from my phone) but it all looks correct. Does it work of you pip install and set the theme name? The output from 'mkdocs build --help' should list all the installed themes too.

Excellent, it installs from PyPI without issues and it is listed in the mkdocs build --help theme list. I will give it a try on a site this evening. Thanks for your help Dougal.
