It would be nice if we could return nicely wrapped stack trace in HTML, similar to what Python's Flask is doing. The Dev UX is quite important as I think that our target audience will be small/mid companies + freelancers where devs have the power to select the technology: Gotta make them happy :] (But we might want to ask them if they would appreciate the HTML version. It's probably just nice to have.)

The next.js is doing a similar thing:

Is there anything left to do after ff12f99? It requires an environment variable to be set, but that seems to be the standard way to do it in rust.

We could set RUST_BACKTRACE in the dev docker image.

I confirm that it shows the JS traces. What I don't like is that it shows the JS back-trace AND rust backtrace which is two terminals long... But I can live with it for now. It can be improved as I illustrated above, or by removing the stack trace.. (Comparing this to the angular UX where you get errors in the console from the angular runner.) but as we agreed, it can wait till we get some feedback from the users, so I'm closing it for now.
