Menu icons massive in Ubuntu about boats-animator HOT 2 CLOSED

I think I should take this chance and advocate removing the menu icons altogether. Hear me out on this one.

Nobody does this. Windows, Mac, or Linux, nobody puts icons in the menu bar. When it is done, that app stands out (not in a good way) because nobody does that. When it is used and accepted, it is a context everybody understands and makes sense in (like the Favorites menu in your web browser). Go look through your installed applications and see how often native menus have icons. Not that often, huh?

I propose this issue be fixed by simply removing the icons completely, which has the by-product of reducing app size. Just because a feature exists does not mean it should be used. IMO, in the case of Boats Animator, it is not one of the few exceptions of iconified menus and therefore should not use them.

Fair enough, the limited use of menu icons I've found appears to be when a menu function duplicates that of an icon with in the interface. I'll shall go about removing the menu icons for Boats Animator.
