It looks like this issue is due to the fact that we currently only support using the ValidityDays type, and we do a cast to integer after dividing by 24, so any value under 24 hours is not going to work. While we work on a fix for you, you can unblock yourself by changing csi.cert-manager.io/duration to 24h or greater.

This issue was resolved in release v1.0.0. If you continue having issues with this after upgrading, please cut a new issue.
