configure with --enable-addressing=direct OR --enable-addressing=real... direct may be your better bet.

Still the same unfortunately... =/
--enable-addressing=direct:

checking for the addressing mode to use...
configure: WARNING: Sorry, no suitable addressing mode in direct
configure: error: Sorry, the JIT Compiler requires Direct Addressing, at least

config.log

--enable-addressing=real:

checking for the addressing mode to use...
configure: WARNING: Sorry, no suitable addressing mode in real
configure: error: Sorry, the JIT Compiler requires Direct Addressing, at least

config.log

A few things... first off, forgive me... brain blip had me thinking we were talking SheepShaver (partly because I ran into some problems building SheepShaver), I missed about BasiliskII... anyhow... I tried variations of your config line and got the same results... tried some deductions and removing '--with-libvhd' led to configure succeeding.

Having run OS X a few years back I also recognize '--enable-sdl-framework'... Not sure why you are using it here? Am I missing something?

Anyhow, running Debian 7.x.x, with good results I am using:

./configure --enable-sdl-video --enable-sdl-audio --enable-jit-compiler

Thanks that fixed it for me too!
I tried changing the configure options too, but never got to fix the problem, so maybe I might have accidentally skipped over libvhd. If I compile without that, wouldn't that mean I won't be able to access HDD images? (I recall it was a support library for that)

I assumed it was needed for audio and video since I only have SDL as an option. Is it an OSX specific thing?

EDIT: Seems that when I compile with the bincue option, it fails when compiling: http://pastebin.com/v4uXP4FU

Yes, Frameworks refer to a directory structure that Mac OS X uses to make making shared libraries and their headers and files in only one subdirectory, as well has some versioning.

Thanks, I tried searching before configuring to see what it's about but the documentation on it is very lax (or at least I wasn't able to find anything myself)

Judging by the paste indicates you likely do not have the libbincue-dev? (and/or the actual library) support package... Just for saying... If you are using options without full knowledge of actually needing them (for not knowing what you actually need) then it may be safer leaving them out.

@MaddTheSane... Thank you for expanding on the details concerning the frameworks on OS X.

D'oh! You were right, I forgot to check if I had anything missing. Unfortunately Debian doesn't have any bincue libraries (weird) so I'll just snip out that option during configuration. Now I finally managed to compile Basilisk and it's working, thank you very much bsekisser for your help! :)
