What OS are you using? Does your project have a .solargraph.yml file? Did you change any of the solargraph.* configuration settings? Do you get any error messages in the developer console?
Typically the server should only run one or two solargraph processes, depending on your configuration. If you've set it to use RuboCop for diagnostics, it'll occasionally spawn another process to perform linting, but those should be short-lived.

Arch Linux, rbenv, Ruby 2.5, no .solargraph.yml, only customized the commandPath.
I just did a solargraph download-core. I'm on Ruby 2.5 actually. Now with the 2.4.2 core it runs much better. There are still many processes being spawned (and also killed again) but RAM usage is stable. I believe that solved the issue. Thank you!

I believe that the issue is only with Ruby 2.5.x
