I have not personally tested it on other platforms. Others have used it on Mac and probably ARM. I'd be very surprised if you ran into issues.

I guess it's mostly the lower level things in the atomicops.h code that are platform-specific, and I was hoping this actually got tested on other platforms as well perhaps by now. But the quoted statement is still accurate then.
Oh well, perhaps other people who have been using it outside of x86(-64) will chime in with their actual concrete experiences.
For the time being, Windows is all I need, but it will probably change in the future.
Feel free to close this. Or, perhaps keeping this open might draw others to comment if they have tested/used it outside of x86(-64). I'll leave it up to you ;-)
