It would be nice if two titles are similar (example: <h1>Something *new*</h1> and <h2>Something new</h2>) not to end up with duplicated IDs. Just check for document.getElementById('') and/or have a counter (JS literal object where key are used IDs and value how many times) to suffix a number to each.

Example: http://jsbin.com/tahedatiqe/1 both endup with id="something-new"

Would be super lovely to

1. Be able to add an API method that list all elements that have been parsed.
2. Set a flag to append <a href="#generated-id">∞</a> on rollover or something

currently, hover links are appended to the heading, but what about prepending?

this is well suited to the hover link appearing after the heading text on hover, but isn't suited well to the hover link appearing before the heading text
