I am trying to get a cage installation to turn off the monitor after a specified time. You mention using swayidle to implement the idle tracker, but the examples for swayidle use swaymsg to send a dpms off message to turn off/on the monitor. swaymsg using the sway (only?) IPC to turn off the monitor.
What command should be used with swayidle to control dpms when using cage?

Hi @mweber26, sorry for the slow response. I think we can either add this to Cage, or perhaps (and more to my preference) we can use an external tool such as kanshi.
