One kiosk per output about cage HOT 5 CLOSED

I am not a kanshi user, but what is the issue with it to disable unneeded outputs?

It keeps a profile per monitor configuration. The moment my monitor gets turned off by it it disconnects and goes to sleep then shortly after reawakens and comes back with a different (lowest) resolution. I don't have any fancy configurations or setups regarding my monitors. except that I have the ddci kernel module enabled

This issue is about being able to start cage /only on one selected monitor/, so probably there can be multiple individual cage instances running, one for each monitor. Think about Multiseat, but not necessarily with inputs.

This is impossible, sorry. There can be only a single DRM master at a time, and the DRM master controls all outputs.

And why exactly can we not control each output individually and have to choose between last monitor or all monitors? (again, the 'last' option being super arbitrary. why not first?)

It's understandable if cage just wants to be kept simple but then why add that option in the first place. It just feels incomplete.
