This is happening with any other text as well, starting from the title of this PDF:

Thorlabs A P T Control l e rs
Host-Contr o ller Communica tions Prot o col

As you can see, it were few extra spaces (0x20) added.

The bug was introduced after 0.0.3 release if i'm not wrong.
Any ideas how to fix it?

@anntzer Sorry for late answer.

I cannot see any problem. I cannot even find what @blshkv mentioned.

Here's what I copied from Okular:

Thorlabs APT Controllers
Host-Controller Communications Protocol

I also attach a screenshot which shows successful match of mod_id:

Maybe a version dependent problem?
FYI, this is my env:

$ okular --version
Qt: 4.8.7
KDE Development Platform: 4.14.16
Okular: 0.24.0

Reproduced the same issue with the same version as @xylosper. I also see extra spaces when copypasting text, but at different positions that @blshkv.

It is actually different positions for me today as well. Does it help to solve the puzzle? ;-)

Since @abulak and I have same version of Okular and @anntzer and I have same version of Qt, I don't think it's not about the versions of Qt and Okular.
Only difference which I can suspect is the version of KDE Develeopment Platform.
Can anyone test it with more recent version of KDE Development Platform?
I think kdelibs package is related with it in Arch Linux.
If it's not what's important... I have no idea for now.

TBH I'm not using this backend anymore so I won't be looking at it for now.

I've upgraded KDE to the same version, but it didn't help.

Qt: 4.8.6
KDE Development Platform: 4.14.16
Okular: 0.24.0
okular-backend-mupdf-0.0.5
mupdf-1.6
