Chat Link

When attempting to send a chat link to a party member an error happens (both sender and receiver have this version of WA):

Not sure If this is intended but currently Stance/Form/Aura can track Auras that are not being used by the player.

where is "Smooth Progress"?

Describe the bug

in retails wa2, there is Smooth Progress in config.

this options can make energy / mana etc. can increase or reduce smoothly, but in WotLK version, i cant find the options?

Combat log bug

With the new Weakaura (After fix #18), i got combat log issue, my skada/details don't work correctly on some character on my account, the problem disappear when i set Wa off and i took the last version of ur Wa.
Don't test with fix #19

Test with Fix #21, still got combat log bug with this weakaura, skada/details don't work, playing with Fix #16 atm.

LFG API event not registering

API event "LFG_PROPOSAL_SHOW" seems to be not registered. My knowledge of LUA is really bad but custom trigger with this event registered and conditions always returning true doesn't fire which is clearest case for firing of this aura I can come up with.

Specific unit boss1 aura triggering even when unit is dead

This aura is triggering with boss1 even when unit does not exist (made sure I had Show On > Aura Found and "Show if Unit Does Not Exist" is not ticked).
Original aura had 3 trigggers but I duped it and narrowed it to just one trigger after a boss fight:

I have the Problem, that my TSU Trigger WA's in a Dynmaic Group do not load/trigger until i open WA and open the trigger once.

Few Issues I have found so far

I didn't know if I needed to make separate Issues for each but here it is:

  1. When using Demolisher to apply Pyrite debuff on Flame Leviathan the WA doesn't appear unless I have the 'Own Only' option unchecked. I tried many options but it just seems like it comes down to 'Own Only' option causing it.
    Due to this issue I assume whenever you are using some kind of vehicle to apply debuff, the 'own only' option will not work.

  2. Also on Flame Leviathan, the boss applies debuff on whoever it's chasing when driving Demolisher/Siege. The WA for this doesn't show unless you have 'Pet' selected instead of 'Player' within the 'Unit" which worked with 'Player' option selected on Legacy version.

  3. Using this to make WA to track Flame Jets cast on Ignis boss is not working. I have tried source name, chat message - boss emote/monster emote/yell, status - cast, spell name/spell ID and none worked. This however works on the legacy version as shown on this image. Also, Freya's Ground Tremor cast WA isn't working.

    I assume this is most likely an issue within the entire function of "cast" when trying to make WA appear as soon as the cast starts.

  4. On Freya you get a buff named "Potent Pheromones" if you stand under a mushroom. I had the usual 'Player-Buff' options selected to track this but it's not working on this version. It does work on Legacy. I couldn't really test this using other options and I can confirm that I didn't have any other options checked that would make this WA to otherwise not work.
    If this helps you figuring out the issue: uniqueness about this buff is that mushroom will come out small at first and grow until it expires which removes the buff as well. The buff itself does not have cooldown.

Adding Conditional Glow to aura inside group changes display x and Y offsets

If group has any offset (on group), adding a glow condition to an aura will apply group offset to the display of that aura, adding X and Y offset +1 .

How to reproduce:

  1. Create Group.
  2. Give a random X and/or Y offset to group.
  3. Create aura (I used Icon) inside group.
  4. Add Condition to trigger 1 with glow external element (any glow):

  5. Choose frame and click on the aura. It will have shifted by the same amount+1 of the group offset.

This can be repeated by clearing frame and rechoosing frame.

Swing timer doesn't update in relation to attack speed changes.

The major cause of this is they Flurry talent https://wotlk.evowow.com/?spell=12974 for Warriors and Shamans. I would imagine other variable attack speed modifiers like Bloodlust and Speed potions would also break it, but they're less relevant since they are more static than flurry.

Here's a video showcasing how it works currently: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVv3MEhiEYk as you can see when I get the flurry buff the swing timer progress bar hits 0 and disappears, and only catches up again until the next swing. So if you're gaining / losing flurry consistently 50% of the time your swing bar will not be visible.

I did some searching and someone reported the same bug in the Classic Weakaura port - WeakAuras/WeakAuras2#1759 and it was fixed in the following commit: WeakAuras/WeakAuras2@a9a3a8a

The dropdown menu populates, 'Timed' can be clicked but wont select.

Desaturate via Conditions not applying every time

I noticed that when trying to either apply or remove desaturation using conditions, sometimes they didn't work. I didn't do extensive testing on this to pinpoint how to reproduce this but I've seen it happen on my system and another person's system.

(I'll edit this when I have the chance to properly troubleshoot and create test auras if needed)

Debuff stacking doesn't work

So I want to make Aura that show up sunder armor icon when the target has <=4 stacks and disappear when the target has 5 and show up again when the remaining time for the debuff is <=10.

It used to work without problems on the old weakaura. However here It doesn't count the stacks so it always show up even if the target has more than 4 stacks.

Death Knight Rune progress tracking wrong rune

Weakauras timers for Rune progress is tracking wrong runes, specifically the runes 3,4,5 and 6.

Switching Runes replicates 100% of time. Spells sometimes (idk the actual cause):

This is completely nitpicking, just wanted to report the issue. Conditions are sorting by first digit. Using beta, could you check if this is also in Shadowlands?

Status > Cast conditions of caster and caster's target not applying

When having an aura with trigger Status > Cast, the conditions to trigger 1 > Caster's Target and Caster do not apply any condition that I tried it on (text, glow, sound, alpha...). The other options that I tested (cast type, class, remaining duration) worked as intended.

Here's a test string with Holy Light on status > cast with 2 different conditions:

Some servers block characters used by LibDeflate's EncodeForWowAddonChannel

Describe the bug

Linking weakauras to other players usually does not work because of this.
I assume the server is blocking some of the characters used for compression, causing parts of the comm message to never be sent.

Do you have an error log of what happened?
I do not but I have experienced the issue with other addons.

To Reproduce

The only server I know this happens on is Warmane, I'm specifically on the Forstmourne server so I'm not sure if it even exists outside this one specific server.

Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Play on warmane frostmourne, try and link a weakaura in chat to another player. Usually the receiving player will never complete the download.

Additional Info

I've had this issue in both RaidAssist and RCLootCouncil while backporting them. I'm not sure how reasonable it would be to swap EncodeForWowAddonChannel with EncodeForPrint since weakauras send much more data than the other 2 addons.
