Was there any resolution for this? I have used swipe box on our company website and are seeing the same results. Even when we show one video among regular JPGs, the video continues to play in the background.

Got a bit of a hack for you but it works! Sorry if it's messy...

Look for your getNext() function (should be line 524, if I am not mistaken)

It looks like this (I cut it before the else statement - around 531):

            getNext : function (){
                var $this = this;
                index = $('#swipebox-slider .slide').index($('#swipebox-slider .slide.current'));
                if(index+1 < elements.length){
                    index++;
                    $this.setSlide(index);
                    $this.preloadMedia(index+1);
                } ...& so forth

ADD THIS LINE:

$this.preloadMedia(index-1);

before the closing bracket( } )

So the code looks like this:

            getNext : function (){
                var $this = this;
                index = $('#swipebox-slider .slide').index($('#swipebox-slider .slide.current'));
                if(index+1 < elements.length){
                    index++;
                    $this.setSlide(index);
                    $this.preloadMedia(index+1);
                    $this.preloadMedia(index-1);
                } ...& so forth

It ends up reloading whatever media was on the previous slide, & thus, getting videos to stop playing as you go thru the slideshow.
