This is running in docker using oznu/docker-homebridge. I first tried it on siwatinc/homebridge_gui_unraid but got the same error. Host OS is unRAID.

I just saw that is tried to reconfigure to another resolution as well.

That shouldn't be an issue. I don't let the plugin reconfigure to allow it to keep the quality sent from Nest.
It sounds like issues related to ffmpeg. Are you using a custom ffmpeg binary or the built-in ffmpeg?

I haven't changed away from the default, so I'm guessing it should be using the built-in ffmpeg. I have an ffmpeg installation in /usr/bin/ffmpeg and /usr/local/bin/ffmpeg.

The ffmpeg version that comes in the container is supposed to support libfdk_aac, however, if I specify it homebdrige gives an error saying it is not supported with that version of ffmpeg. When using /usr/local/bin/ffmpeg it doesn't give the libfdk_aac error but the error from the first post. Is it possible that it is because the image is running on Alpine instead of Ubuntu?

None of the logs you see are an error. It may be a networking issue with ports. I ended up having to run my docker container in host mode because homebridge randomly assigns ports to different parts of the application. What mode are you running your docker container in?

I am running it in host mode. With the built-in ffmpeg on Ubuntu it gives the same error as before.
What kind of ports does it use? Does it access the Nest Hello directly on the network or would a port need to be forwarded?
Just to be clear, the AUDIO Stream stopped! and and VIDEO Stream stopped! in the error happens while I am still viewing the "video" (which is actually just a very low-res image). It is not that I am closing the stream manually when it gives that response.

Ah. Then definitely an ffmpeg issue. I've published a test version of the plugin that enables ffmpeg debug output. You can install it via npm -g i homebridge-nest-cam@test. Try that and copy the output here.

That looks completely normal to me. And you said it is disconnecting before you see the stream?

The stream is a low-res static picture and if I press on it the loading circle appears and doesn't go away. After the ffmpeg error [RETURN AUDIO] ffmpeg exited with code: 0 and signal: null (error) it says:
No response from camera
This camera is not responding

@hugocarmona7 If you disable audio by going into the camera’s accessories in the Home app and flipping the switch, does it work then? It seems to be an issue with 2-way audio for you.

Looks like something with iOS 13.5.1 (try deactivate and activate sound) because in iPadOS works flawlessly.

Still have the issues, both with and without the audio switch enabled in the config. Also tried disabling or disabling then enabling the audio or having disabled from the start and it doesn't load the video. FYI, I am running iOS 13.6, but it seems the issue is also there on iOS 13.5.1. I also have the issue on iPadOS (which should be the same as iOS though).

I've published another test that should tell us why return audio is erroring. npm -g i homebridge-nest-cam@test. Instead of debug output with audio disabled, could you post output with audio enabled using the test?

The new version also broken iPadOS 14, yesterday this was working correctly

Audio still disabled in config, same issue with the video not loading.

I was finally able to reproduce the error on my end. It seems to be a port issue. I'm guessing something is blocking your video port. I've published a new test that will output the ports being used. Could you post that here?

After much research, I've found the issue. Your return audio is not receiving data, so it is killing the process. I've set up a function to ping the return audio process to hopefully keep it alive. Let me know if the latest test works for you.
