Probably worth a note here?

Hello. Not sure if that's a final/irreversible limitation, but it does happens.

Seems glitchy. After tweaking the settings here and there, the plugin successfully stops receiving any audio at all. This probably indicates issue within the process of selecting since I somehow hears it replaying sound of my Chrome browser while I did not select chrome.
With Include Process Tree disabled there is no audio captured but random noises. Restarting OBS does not help resolving this.

Though I see nothing related here.

Starting from 2.0.0-beta, when having Include Process Tree enabled, it's now unable to capture audio from a muted application. Also the volume of captured application now affected by system volume.

This is expected thanks to the nature of the API, process tree or not. You could set the audio output of the process you don't want to hear to some dummy unconnected output device and then capture the unmuted audio into OBS.

I think this is the expected behaviour of a plugin like this(?), so not going to add to the README unless it comes up a few more times.

Something weird is going on here. #21 and #22 are the same thing I think, going to close this issue and track there.

If I have to install a dummy audio device guess I'll just use the good ol' virtual connector though.
Unconnected output device don't show up in the list.

Yeah the virtual cables would be good for that, as that is what they were specifically designed for.
Depending on your use-case, the another method here would be to add an OBS media source that receives the music or other audio over a socket or pipe, or just plays the files directly.
