At startup SmartthingsDiscoveryService.setThingHandlerFactory throws an exception about openhab-smartthings HOT 4 CLOSED

I've never seen an exception like this and it doesn't make any sense. Any possibility that you openhab installation has become corrupted? You don't say what platform you are running on. This seems like something is work with the openhab install. Have you tried restarting your server? If a restart doesn't help could you do a fresh installation?

Thanks for the quick look at this. I was kind of hoping you'd say, "Yeah, I've seen that before, I know what that is." Restarting didn't help. I'll try a fresh install. I'm running an unusual setup - standalone system running Ubuntu 18.04, Openhab2 on non-standard port, etc. I'll try some more troubleshooting and if I can't figure it out I'm fine with closing this as "not reproducible".

Today I saw a similar error to what you reported and then I had another person report the same exception. I my case it was resolved when I did a restart of openhab.

Could you read today's issue (#89) and try the same thing. In your exception the smartthings version is org.openhab.binding.smartthings:2.5.0.202004200354. could you campare that with the date on the jar file?

The openHAB team did a code review on my smartthings binding and told me that the exception The setThingHandlerFactory method has thrown an exception java.lang.ClassCastException could happen and told me what change is needed. I have included that in a new jar file that I just deployed.
