hoboken's Issues

OmniAuth Generator

Maybe prompt the user for the type (i.e. Google, Twitter, etc) and install the correct gem with some boilerplate? Auth helpers?

Install test-unit gem

Newer versions of Ruby no longer ship with test-unit. Add it to the generated Gemfile.

Generator for existing project

Thinking about the idea of adding a generator that can take an existing project folder and add Sinatra to it. Not sure how to handle existing project folder structures without overwriting things. Maybe rely on the standard gem structure and prompt if the project does not match that structure.

Option for API only

Option to generate a project for an API:

  • can be classic or modular
  • no public or views folders
  • root handlers returns JSON
  • unit test for root handler checks content type

Add On for Bootstrap

Need to figure out how/if to support bootstrap without Sprockets add on. Also, regular bootstrap or bootstrap-sass or ...?

New Relic AddOn

Add on that sets up New Relic. Not sure if there would need to be two versions, one for Heroku and one without. Maybe only support New Relic with Heroku?

Possible error when running tests

Track this down, output when running tests...

The file /Users/rnadler/hoboken/test/tmp/4/sample/spec/spec_helper.rb does not appear to exist

Thor deprecation warning

Deprecation warning: Thor exit with status 0 on errors. To keep this behavior, you must define `exit_on_failure?` in `Hoboken::Generate`
You can silence deprecations warning by setting the environment variable THOR_SILENCE_DEPRECATION.

Plugin for PJAX

Add on for PJAX support. Would also require jQuery, should that be a separate add on?
