The slow training is due to the fact that you have too little VRAM. Swapping to shared memory like you do it terribly slow. You will need a better CPU to train, sorry ;-( Based on the graph you would need a minimum of 8GB of VRAM for what you are attempting to train.

Dang... I had a sneaking suspicion that's what the problem was.... Unfortunate.
Oh well, I guess it's back to Colab then. I just hate paying the Google overlords money... lol. I mean sure you get so much processing free... but it's seems to have gotten more limited as of late.
