What's one thing we as a community miss during this world-wide pandemic? As far as we can think off we really missed dining into my favourite restaurants but that is beside the fact, truly our families really missed going outside to our local parks and enjoying the nice summer weather that Canada has to offer for a few months during a year. I haven't seen anyone take the initiative to make parks safe and accessible until now. Introducing Check-IN, a creation that helps users discover a new and safer alternative to visiting your local parks. When given our theme statement for this year's Mississauga Hackathon, we knew that we had to take that extra step forward. With our idea being based on having fun whilst being safe during these unprecedented times knowing that social distancing is going to be the new norm, we instantly thought that creating a website will best show off our in-depth research and knowledge for the idea. The entire process from start to finish was done on HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Let's say that one day you and your family would like to go to your local park but are extremely cautious of COVID-19, that's when Check-IN has your back. Go to our website, look at the top local parks within Brampton and simply just Check-IN with your name and family members during the appropriate time. You might be thinking.. "can't I just go on the specific park's website and use their method of signing in?"; well we are different. Not only do we offer the same method of signing in, but we also assure a number of existing people within the park. You also might be thinking again.. "what do I do know that I know how many people are in the park?"; well now you can choose the appropriate park and enjoy with more people around or fewer people, creating transparency between Check-IN and it's customers. Fewer people obviously decrease your chances of encountering COVID-19, but even if there are more people our staff will ensure your safety. Head over to the FAQ to maybe get the answer to your question.
