getports() takes ~15 seconds about juart HOT 4 OPEN

Hi, I tried, but failed somewhere on the road (I think it was CMake) because I don't have any Visual Studio version installed.
I looked on the net but didn't find any downloadable free VS version.
Can you maybe point to some link which is usable?

Meanwhile I found out that they are several people on the net having problems on Win10 machines with the function GetDefaultCommConfig() used in your lib.

Then I tried this small program (http://www.naughter.com/enumser.html) which listed my serial ports on Win10 64bit machine within milliseconds. The source code of it can be found here: http://www.naughter.com/download/enumser.zip

It uses the same function but another, simplified approach to get all available COM ports (check the source file enumser.cpp lines 530-569). Maybe you could adapt your code accordingly and compile a new dll so that I can use it, without the need to install locally the VS. This would also avoid many other users the need to compile again the sources on their machines.

Just to add a note, it looks to me like nobody is currently using or maintaining getports() on windows. If the next person to work with it were to implement stevstrong's suggestion here, that would be great.
