Could not autoload puppet/type/wls_setting no such file to load -- easy_type about biemond-orawls HOT 8 CLOSED

Hi,

Can restart all the services on the master and do a puppet run on the master. This will detect the easy type module . after this it should work on the nodes. Tested on pe 3.3 and the opensource

Plus maybe at the modules on the primary puppet master module location

I updated my opensource puppet master vagrant env with the latest oracle & easy_type modules, manifests and yaml node configuration and this is working fine for me

the puppet master box, https://github.com/biemond/vagrant-puppetmaster

latest manifest for weblogic env
https://github.com/biemond/vagrant-puppetmaster/blob/master/puppet/manifests/wls_admin.pp

yaml with wls types resources and contains now requires to control the flow.
https://github.com/biemond/vagrant-puppetmaster/blob/master/puppet/hieradata/adminwls.example.com.yaml

I experienced the same error and discovered the problem was as a result of a large time difference between the puppet master and agent machines. The machines had been set-up on different timezones, the puppet master machice was US CET, whereas the agent machine was UTC.

I don't have a large time difference between the two hosts. Both are on GMT and using NTP, would you not also have issues with generating SSL certificates between master & agent. I've got a vagrant configuration setup with a master & agent. I just need to test if running a puppet agent run on the master fixes this issue. A colleague found a note about this option on here. I'll report my findings then we can close the issue.

we are also experiencing the
"Could not autoload puppet/type/wls_setting: no such file to load -- easy_type" error when we installed the puppetmaster on separate VM .we solved it as suggested in above and also in the README.markdown by running puppet agent on the master machine

Running a puppet agent -t on the master does resolve the issue.
