Are you usign the latest best in place version? You need to point your gem 'best_in_place' to github origin, the last released version doesn't include the date functionality yet.

Hmm... Ok. I read on README and I understood that this feature was already within the current version.
Do you have a date that you will generate the next version?

Yes you're right, it's about time to issue a new release and I've just published the new 1.0.4 version. Available in rubygems now!
