Planned support for margin animations? about jquery-animate-enhanced HOT 4 CLOSED

It wasn't a high priority because the performance benefits of animating margins/paddings weren't as significant as they were with left/top.

Is there a specific reason you'd want them in the plugin?

Good to know — I had a feeling there was a reason for its absence. Even with GPU accelerated css transforms margin and padding don't see a performance benefit?

This has got me thinking actually... theoretically there might be a performance as margins and paddings do affect position. Its just whether the GPU would target those types of transitions.

I'll have a look around and run some tests to see if there are decent performance improvements.
