It seems that excel and spreadsheets in google docs evaluates expressions the
same way as muParser. I have also tested the calculator in google, wolfram
alpha and awk. It seems that these evaluate the expression to -9.

Thanks for the report. Usually i side with the math tools when it comes to what
I would label as the "dark corners" of expression evaluation. Unfortunately
this means that I should do something about it. For now I have added a test
case to remind me of the problem but it doesn't have high priority as this is
really a case of a very dark corner which could be lit by something as simple
as a bracket.
So I'll see how long i can stand the failed unit test but i can't rule out that
i will fix it by deciding that Excel is indeed a great math tool.
