Oh.. just learned what 'mobile first' means :)
So, col-12 will apply to all screen sizes, and if i want to change things, i work my way up sm, md, lg ..
Stupid me, i was working downwards .. sorry and thank you so much.

You got it! Just takes a minute to wrap your head around it.
FWIW, I tend to prototype stuff designing for desktop using only unprefixed classes, then work on collapsing stuff for mobile up, and integrating the appropriate breakpoint prefixed classes.

Use unprefixed classes for viewports less than 40em, and prefixed classes
for everything >= 40em.
This is a “mobile first” approach.
