Out of memory in print preview about ganttproject HOT 8 OPEN

Hello,

Do you have a solution for this problem? The OS of my PC is WindowsXP SP3 en I 
use GanttProj 2.0.9 en 2.0.10 and javaruntime 1.6.0.

Noticed that this problem was first noted four years ago. This is by far the 
most annoying part for my when using GanttProject at work. Is this problem 
coming to a solution?

The recommended solution is to use export to PDF/PNG for printing (see issue 
#364). That way you may use your favorite PDF/PNG viewer for preview and for 
tuning paper parameters.

Thanks for the reply. I have already tried all the export-solutions, but due to 
that my project have a couple of hundred activities over a year-long period the 
exports gets unreadable. Unfortunately.

I believe I have to stick to the print preview method and print my A1-sheets to 
a virtual pdf-printer.  The only downside is that every click takes an eternity 
and my patience is not that good ;)

You can choose paper format in PDF export, and A1 is there as well.

I have tried that, but as far as I have noticed, the PDF-export will only 
generate the chart in one (1) A1-sheet, and that is too compact to be readable. 
If you want to, I can send you the project-file when I get back to work on 
monday morning.

Won't printing to virtual PDF printer on A1 produce the same one A1-sheet? Or 
did I miss something? PDF export supports A0, if needed. Another option is PNG 
export which just creates an image which can be printed and tiled with other 
software, which deals with printing better (e.g. Microsoft Paint, see 
discussion in issue #364)
