Can you give for information on what exactly toolchain you are using and where to get it?

Anyways, I was able to reproduce this using riscv64-unknown-elf-gcc (g2ee5e430018) 12.2.0 downloaded from here.
The solution here is quite straightforward. We need to use the bit_get function defined in src/lib/inc/bit.h. However, we should hunt for other possible issues related to casting integer types to bitmaps for extracting/manipulating bits and fix them all in one go.
Edit: Looking deeper into it. I don't really get why the error is there. The value is clearly initialized by that point.
