Yes, As far i know that's intended design.
Because there are some caveats:
- We highly recommend not to use
scanoperation - it's expensive, not performant, not used usually. - We avoidscanusage if we can. - Scanning secondary index is meaningful only if given secondary index has small subset. If table has 10K items and secondary index has 9K items, there are no big difference. but if secondary secondary has 1K items. it's meaningful.
Anyway, It's easy to implement scan method to GSI. but i want to know the reason why you need this functionality. Can you explain your use case?

I did a PR #46 <#46>
I understand that scan() can be expensive if not used properly, however it's a supported function by dynamodb, so I feel an ORM should support all the functionality otherwise there's no point in releasing it to the public. In my case, I have a table of active users, so I just need a scan of all records with my GSI. (I use TTL epoch to expire entries so it's only the list of users currently logged into the system).
