I switched to Plots instead of StatsPlots. I have one function I did not find an easy way to convert to a recipe, so unfortunately Plots is still required. The number of packages in the manifest was reduced by 32 though, so slightly lighter as a result :)

I see. Well, maybe down the road this package can get split to two: 1) core functionalities and 2) diagnostic tools. Then Plots can reside in the latter.
