Terraform example doesn't work as expected about ipam HOT 2 CLOSED

The Terraform example is only meant as a starting point for users to see one way of incorporating Azure IPAM into Terraform workflows. As this example uses the external data source, it's not expected that it would work with terraform plan as the script cannot be made aware of the fact that you are running a plan or apply.

What really is needed for your situation is a proper Terraform provider. We are aware that another customer is currently developing a Terraform Provider for Azure IPAM, and we will be incorporating the code into this repo as soon as it's complete. I think once we have that, you'll be in better shape with your target workflow.

We'll be working to add some additional documentation to the official Azure IPAM docs as well, but for now please try it out and provide them some feedback if you run into any issues.
