This is, of course, possible when the S1 limits are sufficient. I changed it also in my deployment json file.

Hi all, for guidance, you can see #93. Also, if you go into portal.azure.com and change the provisioned IoT Hub from S2 to S1, when you redeploy using build.cmd, we will honor your changes once we move to powershell 1.0.
Also, keep in mind the limitations of S1: including the rate in which the pre-provisioned simulated devices send messages + any additional devices you connect to the IoT Hub and the rate in which messages are sent. The message limits can be found here: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/details/iot-hub/
